Alpha Xi Delta is Banding Together for Autism.
Some of our group has purchased wristbands to pass out.

On World Autism Awareness Day, April 2, 2009, Alpha Xi Delta proudly announced its new philanthropy partnership with Autism Speaks.
With more than 150,000 members from coast to coast, Alpha Xi Delta was looking to support a cause that would have a personal connection to its members; support the sorority's mission and vision; and have support in place to assist its members across the United States. It found such a cause in Autism Speaks.
As of October 2011, the sorority has raised more than $600,000 nationally for autism research. In addition to the funds raised, Alpha Xi Delta Sisters have volunteered countless hours in support of Autism Speaks.

Come out & enjoy your choice of Italian salad, pizza, sandwich, pasta or just a beverage as we make plans for supporting our regional collegiate chapters.

We will have the key dates from 6 of the closest colleges with Alpha Xi Delta chapters.

We'll brainstorm what we might do for these chapters (and any others the alumnae association members wish to support). It might be as simple as sending a card of encouragement, congratulations, etc. for those key dates or it might be something more like sending flowers or small gifts.

We'll choose what we will do and what we need to do it. We'll also start to collect dues (more specifics on that later) so that we have an operating budget!

In July, we'll create the items for the fall recruitments / start of school & prep them for mailing.

May 13 - Charter meeting

This is the day we will be signing our Petition to Charter!
Location: Hoffman Estates, North of tollway

Agenda includes
- sign the Petition to Charter to send to National
- determine our dues
- determine what positions we need to fill
- discuss Alumnae Aunts program (chapter assistance)
- other things as time allows

Social time at the end of meeting will include beverages & dessert.

May 2 - Stamp It Up Party

We will learn some techniques to rubber stamping & make a card(s).
- make a card for Mother's Day or another special day
- socialize & get to know your sister alumnae
- learn more about our alumnae association
Cost TBD (probably no more than $10)
